Team programme: FREE

Team programme is one of Inspire’s most successful programmes run in partnership with the Prince’s Trust. Taking place over 12 weeks, the programme supports young people who are 16-25 years old and are not in employment, education or training living across Suffolk and North Essex.  The programme is made up of various activities and projects designed to increase confidence, motivation and self-esteem whilst working as a team, learning effective communication and vital skills needed for work which play a key part in helping to find a positive sustainable outcome.

Working in partnership with East Coast College and Suffolk New College.

If you think Team Programme might be for you and you’d like to find out more, you can book an appointment below to speak to a member of our team.

Week 1: Take action

In your first week, you’ll start planning for the programme ahead – setting out what you want to achieve on Team and finding out how you will get your qualification.

Week 2: New Experiences

You’ll spend this week trying new things and learning how to work with others. This gives you a chance to break away from your current situation and challenge yourself!

Weeks 3-6: Something to talk about

As a Team, you’ll decide on a project to benefit your local community and carry it out. You might be surprised at what you can achieve together. This gives you a great experience to talk about at interviews.

Weeks 7-8: Work placements

This is the time to see how the skills you’ve developed so far can help you in the workplace. It’s also a great chance to try out a type of work, or company, to see whether you like it.

Week 9: Plan for the future

Time to plan your next steps after the programme. You’ll get help to write a fantastic CV, practice your interview skills and make applications.

Weeks 10-11: Meet the challenge

You and your Team will take on a challenge to help others in the community. This is when you get to test out all the skills you’ll have worked on so far.

Week 12: Have your say

In your final week, you’ll deliver a presentation with your Team to an invited audience. This is your chance to show off the talents you’ve discovered! This may sound scary now, but after 12 weeks on Team, you’ll be surprised at how far you’ve come.

If you are interested in enrolling in one of our programmes or know a young person that may benefit from this 12-week experience, please contact [email protected]

You’ll be referred to a Team Leader who will be happy to help all young people complete our sign-up form.  Alternatively, please call or text us on 0330 055 0033 and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

All of our programmes run over the course of 12 weeks and young people will be required to dedicate time between Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays).

This course will be a blended learning approach with a mixture of distance and classroom based exercises.

All young people that complete the programme will receive a Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. This certificate can be completed at entry level, level 1 or level 2.

In the last 12 months, 79% of our young people have moved into a sustainable outcome finding employment, enrolling onto college courses, starting an apprenticeship or going into voluntary work. For more information on individual successes go to our ‘who we help’ page.

Inspire has delivered this nationally recognised qualification to over 60 teams of young people, that’s over 900 young people! Our delivery has been recognised by The Prince’s Trust as ‘Outstanding’ and in the last 24 months, we have seen over 75% of our young people move into further education, employment or training on completion.

No, Team programme will not affect your Universal Credit, PIP or ESA.

“I am so glad i have taken on Team Programme. The residential trip really helped me to gain more confidence and made me realise what I am capable of”
