£5k donated to Inspire through SCC Chairman, Stephen Burroughes, Energy for Good & Vertas

We are delighted to have benefitted from a £5,000 donation from Energy for Good’s not-for-profit energy purchasing framework, which will support our life changing work with local young people.

This has been made possible through the Chairman of Suffolk County Council, Stephen Burroughes, whom Inspire is his chosen charity for the year, and their facility managers Vertas who have just sought the expertise of Energy for Good when seeking out a new tender for their gas and electricity provision.

This is such a generous donation and will make a big difference to the lives of local young people, supporting them onto a positive future through a range of personal development and work-readiness programmes.

Terry Baxter from Inspire says:

“We are extremely grateful for the devoted support of Stephen Burroughes, the Chairman of Suffolk County Council, Energy for Good and Vertas for the very generous donation. This will make a significant difference to the young people we work with, for example, approximately £3,000 will help us to run one of our 2-week work readiness programmes, Step Up, for 12 young people helping them to take the step onto a positive future.“

Councillor Stephen Burroughes, Suffolk County Council’s Chairman, said:

“We are delighted as an authority to work with Energy for Good in supporting our incredibly important corporate charity; Inspire. Through using their fantastic not-for-profit purchasing framework, we have been able to redirect an amazing £5,000 to a cause which brings huge benefit to the local community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved with the process; especially Energy for Good for their partnership, support and generous donation.”

Andy Blake from Energy for Good said “Energy for Good are extremely pleased that through managing Suffolk County Council’s energy we are able to make these contributions to such worthwhile causes.”
