Music by the Sea returns to Aldeburgh and we’re the chosen charity!

The free Music by the Sea open-air charity concert returns to Aldeburgh on Saturday, 30th June with a great line-up of national and local artists performing live from 4pm until dark – and Inspire is the charity for this year!

Taking place in the King’s Field, top acts at this summer’s concert include a dynamic ELO tribute band and popular Suffolk band Albion Mills playing their repertoire of classic rock and pop from the Golden Age of the 60s and 70s.  Other confirmed performers include rock ‘n roll band J.S & The Lockerbillies, who are sure to get the audience up on their feet.

Champagne and beer marquees, plus a BBQ and food outlets run by the Aldeburgh’s White Lion Hotel will provide fuel for dancing into the early hours.  There will also be a children’s area to keep little ones happily entertained, while a sensational firework display will bring the evening to a rousing finale at 10pm.

We are delighted that the charity for this year will be us! We will have a massive team there on the day, supporting the event and raising money for our charity, who work with young people to overcome challenges they are facing and onto a positive future in employment or further training through their numerous personal development programmes and activities.

Terry Baxter, our Chief Executive, says:

“We are so pleased to be involved in this fantastic community event. We cannot thank Peter Osborne for the ongoing dedicated support of our charity, as well as the sponsors and the team for creating such a beneficial opportunity for us to raise much-needed funds for young people in our county. Thank you!”

The event is kindly being sponsored by the TA Hotel Collection, Suffolk Secrets, East of England Co-Op and Direct Seafoods. There will be a park and ride service to this free event operating from two Thorpeness car park areas, as well as parking next to the concert arena.

We are not managing tickets at Inspire and you should contact the Music by the Sea organisers for queries about this. More details and tickets on www.musicbythesea.co.uk or follow on Twitter @MusicBy_TheSea and Facebook.
