Looking back on a great June 2018

We are looking back on a fantastic month here at Inspire Suffolk. Two very successful Step Up programmes, our annual Golf Day, Team programme Community Projects, and more!

Step Up success

We ran two Step Up into Hospitality courses partnered with TA Hotel Collection and Vertas in Lowestoft and Ipswich respectively. Both companies offered an amazing contribution to allow us to provide work experience and relevant training to our young people, which was such an invaluable experience for those involved. Thank you to both Vertas and TA Hotels! Some of the young people involved already have fantastic opportunities lined up with more to come hopefully!

Golf Day was a hit

We also hosted our annual Golf Day with Matt Holland and Georgie Bingham at Ufford Park Golf Clkub, which was a huge success raising over £4,500 for Inspire Suffolk! Thank you to everyone involved. Read more here.

Team programme work hard in the community

Our Team programmes have been out and about across the county including Haverhill, Newmarket, & Felixstowe working on projects to support their local community.  These included working to improve a garden at Causton Primary School in Felixstowe and another garden project at The Burton Centre community hub. This not only gives a great opportunity to engage with the public, do something great in their communities and build skills such as teamwork and leadership, but it gives our young people a fantastic experience to talk about at interviews. Now onto Work Experience followed by working on their CV’s, mock interviews, and work skills! Keep a look out for more pictures!

A great month. Here’s to another great one, with fundraising at Music by the Sea, our Strictly Charity event, two Fast Forward courses launching and more!
