Team programme support the homeless with care packages
Our Team programme in Ipswich have chosen to support the homeless for their Community Project stage of their programme by providing them with items that they really need.
Feeling passionate about the cause, they decided to create care packages for local homeless people in Ipswich. Through various fundraising they purchased the contents of their care packages including socks, hats, gloves, jumpers, water, crisps, sweets, tissues and sanitary towels for women.
Working with ILHP (Ipswich Locality Homelessness Partnership) they distributed them to those in need in the town. Some of the packages were given out to homeless people visiting the Chapman Centre, but also to those moving off the street into hostels as it is vital they also get the necessitates.
Well done to our Team for developing such a beneficial community project as a team!
