Sports Coaching Apprenticeships

Our Sports Coaching Apprenticeships are available for 16-18 year olds who are interested in developing a career in Sports Coaching whilst gaining practical experience in the coaching industry.  

Practical elements of any sports apprenticeship at Inspire include working alongside our experienced team of Sports Development Coaches. Our coaches deliver high quality PE provision across Suffolk Primary Schools and apprentices will work with a coaching mentor to develop their teaching style and approach.

We offer both Level 2 & Level 3 Sports Coaching Apprenticeships giving young people the opportunity to gain various qualifications across our 12 month programme.

Team programme

Taking place over 12 weeks, the Team programme is for young people between the ages of 16-25 living across Suffolk who are not currently in employment, education or training and are looking for something to help them get there.

We have programmes that take place in and around Ipswich, Lowestoft, Haverhill, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Leiston and Sudbury. Our programmes are made up of various activities designed to increase self-confidence, motivation and self-esteem.

HOW LONG ARE THE COURSES?

All of our programmes run over the course of 12 weeks and young people will be required to attend Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays). A normal day on team runs from 9:30 –15:30pm.


WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I RECEIVE?

All young people that complete the programme will receive a Prince’s Trust certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. This certificate can be completed at entry level, level 1 or level 2.


WHAT HAVE OTHERS ACHIEVED ON PROGRAMME?

In the last 12 months, 79% of our young people have moved into a sustainable outcome finding employment, enrolling onto college courses, starting an apprenticeship or going into voluntary work.
