Team programme boosts work skills

Our Lowestoft Team programme have just completed their Work Placement section of their 12-week programme with Inspire.

Their work placements have ranged from working at the Lowestoft and East Suffolk Maritime Museum, Lowestoft Town F.C, in the IT Department at East Coast College, Sams Coffee House, The Seagull Theatre, Pakefield Riding School and more! Week 7 and 8 of the course is the time for our young people to see how the skills they have developed so far can transfer into and help you in the workplace. It’s also a great chance to try out a type of work, or company, to see whether it’s the right field for them.

Team programme is one of our most successful programmes – taking place over 12 weeks and delivering a Prince’s Trust curriculum, the programme supports young people between the ages of 16-25 who are not currently in employment, education or training with the aim of building up to and finding a positive next step. The programme is made up of various activities designed to increase self-confidence, motivation, self-esteem and skills, all which play a key part in helping young people find positive sustainable outcomes.

Here are some pictures of them really throwing themselves into their placements – well done Lowestoft Team!
